The combination brow is one of my most popular treatments.
Combination brows is a mixture of Hair-stroke and Ombre effect techniques, perfect for those who want to have a more defined brow. This technique is used to fill in sparse areas of brow with fine strokes and then further fill the brows to the desired level of definition with shading.
This treatment is perfect for any clients that would like to have a fuller more defined brow. When healed microblading on its own can be very soft. By adding shading when the brows are healed they will stay slightly bolder, representing more of a “makeup” look.
Did you know that you can start with a microbladed brow and then add shading at a later stage, either at your 6 week top up or annual colour boost? Just ask me for more information on this.
Semi permanent makeup gives you a 24hour makeup look, whether you have just got out of bed, been to the gym or been swimming. You will save time applying makeup and enhance and correct your natural appearance. It is super effective for enhancing what clients already have and can even put back what clients have lost. A combination brow will lift and give expression to the face. Unfortunately, a lot of us have no/ sparse brows, or are just very unhappy with our natural brows. We can spend hours struggling with an eyebrow pencil. The difference SPMU brows can make is amazing as it can give you the perfect shape and colour! Letting you “wake up with make-up”
If you have had previous semi permanent makeup that has been authorised to be re worked on, a combination brow is always advised. Microblading is generally not enough to cover/ correct previous SPMU.
The combination brow is completed in two sessions. The first takes two to three hours. In this first session, a full consultation is carried out, a colour match is completed and the brow is shaped and styled to the client’s preference. The treatment is then completed. Six weeks later, the client returns for the second session/ touch up. A touch up can take anywhere from one hour. A touch up is necessary because all clients will heal differently and therefore results vary. Sometimes it is necessary to adjust the pigment colour and brow thickness by adding more strokes/shading. In the touch up session, the final adjustments are made to assure the client’s satisfaction. Both Sessions are included in the initial price.
SPMU brows can last anywhere from 6-18 months. I always recommend having colour
boosts at around 12 months to maintain best results. This doesn’t go for everyone as some clients skin will hold pigment for longer. Certain styles of the combination brow can last longer than microblading on its own, making them often last over 18 months.
Some clients like to return at 8+months to keep the brows looking fresh, this can also be the case if that client’s skin doesn’t take as well to the treatment or if they have frequent exposure to sun/UV.

These treatments are called semi permanent because they will fade over time and annual boosts are required to maintain. But they are still PERMANENT because they will stay for a set amount of time. Pigment fades and breaks down in the skin over time. I cannot guarantee how long pigments will take to fade. You should understand that some pigment can stay in the skin indefinitely. Medication and health issues must be disclosed with your technician upon booking andconsultation. It is really important that this is discussed as some medication or health issues may interfere with your treatment.
